Kimberly Ann Guilfoyle, popular as Kimberly Guilfoyle is an American cable news personality and a legal analyst who has worked for the Fox News Channel for years. She has co-hosted the programs called The Five and Outnumbered on the Fox News Channel. She recently launched her latest book Making The Case, which was bought by President Donald Trump. She was a prosecuting attorney in San Fransisco and Los Angeles, before entering television. She left Fox News on July 20, 2018. She later joined America First Policies a non-profit organization, a pro-Trump super PAC, to campaign for Republicans in the 2018 midterm elections.

Early Life And Education Of Kimberly Guilfoyle

Guilfoyle was born in the year 1969 on March 9 in San Francisco, California, USA. She was born to a Puerto Rican mother and Irish-American father. Her mother died due to leukemia when she was 10 so Kimberly and her younger brother were raised by her father.

Guilfoyle attended Mercy High School and graduated from the University of California, Davis in magna c u m laude. She has received her Juris Doctor (J.D) from the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1994.

Guilfoyle had also studied at Trinity College, Dublin in Ireland for her research study in International children’s rights and European Economic Community Law.

Kimberly Guilfoyle joined Fox News Channel in early 2003 as a host of the weekend show, The LineUp. She currently appears as a weekly guest on the Kilmeade and Friends radio show and also on The O’Reilly Factor’s recurring segment, “Is it Legal?”, Hannity and Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld.

Television Career

Guilfoyle started her career in television media in 2004 working for Court TV on the show Both Sides as a host. Before coming into the television media, she was active in the legal sector. After finishing her law school, Kimberly Guilfoyle briefly worked as the prosecutor in San Francisco in 1996.

Kimberly Guilfoyle was fired along with other 13 city prosecutors after Terence Hallinan became the elected District Attorney for the city. Afterward, Kimberly moved to LA and spent her four years as a Deputy District Attorney. Her task was to work on adult and juvenile cases which include narcotics, domestic violence, kidnapping, robbery, arson, sexual a s sault, and homicide cases.

Her performance made her receive several awards during the course of time including Prosecutor of the Month. Later in 2000, she was again rehired by Terence Hallinan in the San Francisco District Attorney’s office as n Assistant District Attorney from the year 2000 to 2004.

Possible Position In The Trump Administration

In December 2016, it was reported that Kimberly Guilfoyle was being considered to serve as press secretary for President Donald Trump. Sean Spicer was ultimately selected. On the May 12, 2017, edition of The Five, co-host Bob Beckel hinted that Guilfoyle turned the job down. 

However, Guilfoyle confirmed she was in contact with the White House about the position following Spicer's resignation, in an interview with Bay Area News Group on May 15, 2017. "I'm a patriot, and it would be an honor to serve the country", Guilfoyle said. "I think it'd be a fascinating job, it's a challenging job, and you need someone really determined and focused, a great communicator in there with deep knowledge to be able to handle that position."

However, on May 19, Guilfoyle said she is under contract with Fox; indicating she turned down the White House. She extended her contract with Fox News one month later. Guilfoyle was described as a "conservative cheerleader for President Trump" by The Washington Post in 2018.

Departure From Fox News 

Kimberly Guilfoyle left Fox News in July 2018, reportedly to work for a pro-Trump super PAC. A week after her announcement, though, the Huffington Post reported claims by an anonymous source who said that Guilfoyle did not leave the network voluntarily, but rather had been forced out due to allegations that she had engaged in sexual hara s sment.

This was countered by other anonymous sources in The Daily Beast, where it was reported that Guilfoyle's enemies within Fox had actively planted negative stories and started a whisper campaign against her, exaggerating her alleged misbehavior.

She was married to her first husband Gavin Newsom, then a  city supervisor of San Francisco, in 2001. Newsom was elected as mayor of San Francisco in 2003. She went by the name Kimberly Guilfoyle Newsom, while married to Newsom.

Kimberly Guilfoyle filed for the divorce from Newsom in January 2005, citing the strain of a bi-coastal marriage. Their divorce was finalized on February 28, 2006.

 Kimberly Guilfoyle also dated Donald Trump Jr. in 2018. The news leaked that the two were dating after they attended an event together in May 2018. Trump was his wife Vanessa Trump at the time. Guilfoyle had been friends with the couple and the Trump Family for years.
