Joel Rueben Madden, popularly known as Joel Madden, was born on March 11, 1979, in La Plata, Maryland, the US to Robin Madden and Roger Combs. Joel is a multi-talented personality, who is known to be a record producer, actor, DJ, and UNICEF Goodwill Amba s sador. He is the lead vocalist for the American pop punk band Good Charlotte.
Joel Madden has an identical twin, Benji Madden, who is also part of their band, Good Charlotte. Both of them have a joint pop rock collaboration called The Madden Brothers. His older brother Josh Madden also works in the music industry and he also has a younger sister named Sarah Madden. Joel Madden performs music in Pop rock, Punk rock, and alternative rock genre.

Joel Madden attended La Plata High School. Joel Madden, his brother Benji, and a friend started their own band in 1995 at the age of 16. The band didn't last long and then the Madden brothers formed another band with their high school friends which became the very popular punk rock band Good Charlotte.
Joel Madden has released two albums with the Madden brothers which are ‘Before — Volume One’ in 2011 and ‘Greetings from California’ in 2014. He has worked on seven albums with the Good Charlotte band. Their debut album was 'Good Charlotte' in 2000 followed by 'The Young and the Hopeless', in 2002, The Chronicles of Life and Death in 2004, Good Morning Revival in 2007, Greatest Remixes in 2008, Cardiology in 2010 and Youth Authority in 2016.
Joel Madden has been working as a coach on the TV show The Voice of Australia. Joel has also appeared in several other songs like "Bail Me Out" by All Time Low and "Incomplete And All Alone" by Blood on the Dance Floor.
