Introduction

Jen Schefft was born on Jul 23, 1976, in Mentor, Ohio, United States`. She is better known for her appearance in the season three of ‘The Bachelorette’.  She has a brother named Jason who is a teacher. She was raised in Mentor, Ohio and holds American nationality.

Education and career

Jen Schefft attended Mentor High school and graduated in the year 1994.She completed her graduation in business administration from the Ohio University in 1998. She worked as the accountant executive for a photography company in Chicago, Illinois for five years.  She released her self-written book  ‘Better Single than sorry: A No-Regrets Guide to Loving Yourself and Settling’ on January 23, 2007.

In the show, ‘The Bachelorette’ Jen Schefft rejected her final two suitors named John Paul Merritt and Jerry Ferris. After the incident, she was labeled as someone who could not be happy with anyone i.e. ‘spinster’ However, she married a man with whom she had not met yet on the reality dating series of ABC.Throughout the various cities of the United States in the coming months, Jen made her various appearances. She was also nominated for the show in the Teen Choice awards in the category of TV Female Reality Star.

After the show, Jen Schefft moved to San Francisco where she worked for the Firestone Family Vineyards as a sales manager. She even served as the Goodwill Amba s sador for the Firestone Tires. After some years, she returned to the Chicago where she was invited to work as an event planner by Rockit Ranch Production.

Her Book ‘Better Single than sorry: A No-Regrets Guide to Loving Yourself and Settling’

 Jen Schefft's book is about being single is no bad and how the society looks down to the women who are not married by 30. To write the book Jen doc u mented her life as well as family, friend’s story and even relationship experts. The book empowers today’s woman to take their singledom and go out and to live their life to the fullest. She also stated,‘men aren’t the cake, they are the icing on the cake.’ Jen’s book was also featured on the hit television morning newscast, ‘The Today Show’, Chicago Red Eye, Chicago Magazine, Today’s Chicago Woman and US Weekly.

Personal life

Jen Schefft is married to Joe Waterman in 2009 who is a Chicago, Illinois resident. She has two daughters, Mae Elizabeth and Charlotte Grace from her current husband. She gave birth to her first child when she was 34 years old on 13th November 2010. Her second child was born on 31st July 2012.

Before entering ‘The Bachelorette’, she dated Andrew Firestone, a participant of the same program. She got engaged to him at the end of the third season of the program. However broke their engagement due to some reason which is unknown. She currently resides in Chicago.
