Drea de Matteo is an American actress and model. She is best known for her characters as Angie Bolen on ABC’s comedy-drama and mystery series Desperate Housewives. She also played the role of mob girlfriend Adriane La Cerva for five years on HBO’s The Sopranos.

Matteo is the daughter of playwriting teacher, Donna and Albert A. De Matteo who is an owner of furniture manufacturing and CEO of Avery Boardman and Carlyle.

Originally, Drea de Matteo grew up in a gated community in Queens, the New York borough. She is the youngest of three children. She completed her graduation from Loyola School.
